The historic church at Mission San Jose is often the venue of choice for both choral and musical performances, delighting audiences with its beauty and acoustics. The Mission church can seat 250 and you may wish to consider the use the patio for a post-concert reception.

Concert Requests
The Mission can host certain artistic and cultural events from civic, community, and religious non-profit organizations. These may include choral and orchestral concerts or other traditional events/presentations, provided they are in alignment with the Mission’s religious and historical character.
All prospective organizations must submit their program content in advance for approval. We reserve the right to deny and cancel any previously scheduled events and programs if they appear to be contrary, opposing, and undermining our Catholic Faith, Tradition, and Mission. Diocese of Oakland liturgies and celebrations have priority booking until the concert/rehearsal date(s) are confirmed. Sundays are not available as they are reserved for worship.
2022-2023 Rates
$350/single-day event with no rehearsal
$500/two-day event or single-day event plus one day’s rehearsal
$600/two-day event plus one day’s rehearsal

Advertising Benefits Included in These Rates
Note: Short Term Agreement must be signed for benefits.
Mission San Jose will feature a banner advertising your event two weeks prior to your event on our Home Page (unless a prior event is within the two week window).
Mission San Jose will feature your event details in our UPCOMING EVENTS PAGE.
Your organization may display a tasteful 3’ x 6’ Banner hung on the Mission porch by Mission staff the Monday of the week before the event.
Your organization may exhibit flyers/marketing material in the breezeway of the Mission museum.
Reservation Procedure
STEP 1
To rent the Mission Church and/or Patio Garden, complete the Concert Request Form below. Please include set-up time and take-down time in your request:
Capacities:
Maximum size of performing groups is fifty singers or twenty-five seated musicians or ten seated musicians to accompany a choir.
The Mission Church has a seated capacity of 250.
STEP 2
A Mission San Jose event coordinator will confirm the availability of the requested dates/times and then contact you to obtain details of the musical program for approval.
STEP 3
Upon program approval, the Mission event coordinator will contact your organization’s representative to finalize the arrangements for your event:
