In this week’s gospel, Jesus challenges us to go beyond our expected responses to human interactions. He says “…love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you“. Jesus’ examples may sound challenging – but his bigger challenge to us is what he really expects: “be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.” Mt 5:38-48
