Luke 2:10-11The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold I proclaim to you good news of great joy will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord” (Lk 2: 10 -11.) This proclamation, given first to shepherds – among the lowest class of a very class conscious people – is the message that rings in our ears down through the ages. For to these humblest of God’s people was given the first announcement of the long awaited Savior promised in Scripture and spoken prophecy through the ages. On this day before the anniversary of His coming in human form, I pray that all hear and respond in equal humility, wonder, awe and great thanksgiving to God Who sent His beloved Son to us “One like us in all things but sin” (Heb 4 :15) Amen. A Blessed Christmas to you all! Helen Luke 2:10-11 |
