Alleluia! He is Risen!

The word ‘Alleluia’ will feature abundantly in the Church’s liturgy for the Fifty Days of the Season of Easter. Saint Augustine, writing in the IV century, said: “We are an Easter people and Alleluia is our song.” The word comes from the Hebrew ‘Hallelujah’ and means ‘Praise the Lord.’
