Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen was beatified on September 24, 2026, in St. Louis. Known for his television program Life Is Worth Living, his radio broadcasts and many books, he brought the Catholic faith into millions of homes with clarity, warmth and humor. His preaching helped people see how faith speaks to everyday joys, struggles and decisions. Beatification gives him the title “Blessed,” recognizing that he is in heaven and may be invoked in prayer. It is an important step toward canonization as a saint. His example reminds us that each of us can share the Gospel through our words, actions and the ways we reach others.
