The Neighborhood Outreach Project (NOP) began during Covid with 60 people who connected with all in our parish database to update information and see if there was any way the parish could help them. We found people who were no longer in the parish, had new e-mail addresses and cell phone numbers, and some who wanted communion brought to them. After Covid, NOP volunteers organized BBQs, visited homebound parishioners, helped get out mailings for the parish and donated food and time to Hospitality Sundays and events.

New for 2026, NOP needs volunteers on Hospitality Sundays for our Registration Station to register new people into the parish and update information for those already registered parishioners. Just come after whatever mass you attend, but let Lauri know you will be there to volunteer, please.

Coming up in March is Ministry Sunday when NOP will be hosting the Sunday morning masses. We will need more food and volunteers than usual. Contact Lauri Kaefer for more information:lkaefer@comcast.net or 510-552-7431.
