HOM 2025 Annual Report

Homeless Outreach Ministry: 2025 Annual Report: Operations and Finance
Members of HOM procure about 20 different shelf-stable grocery items, dispense them into bags, and deliver in person to unhoused on the streets, camps, and parks in Fremont every week. When we started the Ministry in December 2024, we delivered about 60 bags each week. In 2025, this number has nearly doubled as we expanded our reach to new camps, for example, Ardenwood and due to the increase in the unhoused population.

In 2025, parishioners donated $58,628.07 to HOM. Our annual expense was $32,906.28. We delivered a total of 4,917 grocery bags to the unhoused in 2025. Sister John Marie’s Pantry provided support during part of 2025. Beginning December 2025, HOM started assuming those costs directly and will therefore require additional funding. In addition to grocery items, we have given out Life Essential items such as waterproof blankets, warm clothing, socks, hats, and gloves donated by our parishioners.

We are grateful to our parishioners and Sister John Marie’s Pantry for their generous support to make the compassionate act of outreach possible through the members of HOM.
