Vietnam Typhoon Relief – donate until October 1

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, we are collecting donations for Typhoon relief up to October 1 before sending it on.

Typhoon Yagi has brought devastating impacts to the North of Vietnam, particularly in the provinces of Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, and Lao Cai. The storm has caused widespread flooding and landslides, resulting in at least 233 deaths and 103 people still missing. Over 50,000 homes have been destroyed or damaged, leaving thousands of families without shelter. The agricultural sector has also been severely affected, with over 184,000 hectares of crops destroyed, leading to economic hardships for local communities. Additionally, the storm has disrupted transportation networks, causing power outages and communication disruptions, with over 438,000 people affected. The region’s infrastructure has been severely damaged, with numerous roads, bridges, and buildings destroyed or damaged. The people of North Vietnam are in dire need of support and aid to recover from the devastating effects of Typhoon Yagi.

We pray our people will be generous in helping our brothers and sisters recover from such a disaster.
